Went here for an anniversary, I've lived locally over 10 years and I was curious how this place was. I enjoy a nice steak, but I'll admit the price here isn't typically what I would even consider spending for food, I made okay money but not enough to spend $200 for two people. It is listed as $$ on yelp but I can't imagine why, for two people our tab without alcohol or a tip was about $150. I knew this going in as their menu and pricing is online but this wasn't a $$ dinner. I'll cut to the chase, for $200 out the door I was expecting more and not in service or ambiance - both were "nice" but not $200 nice. The chain steak joints are as good (or better if you ask me) on the quality. The steak was a bit over cooked for my taste - ordered medium and got somewhere between well and med-well. The wifes steak came out a little better but still a bit more well than what medium usually comes out as. It was a nice experience, it wasn't as loud or obnoxious as my usual steak joints, but for $200 I was expecting the steak to melt in my mouth. It didn't. The salad bar was nice, it had more than just salad stuffs but it's all ala cart and I've had steaks that cost as much as the salad bar. What I'm saying, I'm a normal income guy who wouldn't regularly visit a place like this even if it was great. I just don't have the means though I'm not bad off just the price is steep. So when I went here for a "treat" I guess I was expecting a treat. I was expecting the food to be much better. A piece of me wants to give it fewer stars, but I'll dignify them with three.

Arrival day at the resort and headed over for lunch. Food was very good, definitely pricey, generous portions however, the kitchen was painfully slow. We got there at 1:15 and for a group of 8 it took almost an hour to bring out 4 wraps, 1 salad, 1 margarita pizza and 2 hot pastrami sandwiches. Definitely will go back but definitely won't go back starving!

One of the best meals I've had in a long, long time. And the service was outstanding thanks to Ryan...definitely a special occasion evening, and they go out of their way to make it special.

We had dinner there on Christmas Eve. It was wonderful ! And, a special thank you to our waiter, Nick! We especially enjoyed our Caesar salad made table side. Great evening and great food.

This was my second visit to Dempsey's which was New Year's Eve. That was my first mistake. They called me 3 times to confirm my reservation and to tell me they had a 75.00 minimum and NO coupons ( which I thought was simply rude). But I persevered because my first visit there was so good. We arrived and decided to valet park at the hotel, with 3 attendants standing around it took both of us to get their attention. We arrived at Dempsey's and the girls at the desk AGAIN told us there was a 75.00 minimum. (4th time). We sat down and guess what our waitress told us .... Yep, there is a 75.00 minimum. (5th time). We both ordered the 10oz. Filet medium a Caesar salad and baked potato. The Caesar was very good and made fresh at the table. That's where the good ended. Our steaks arrived extremely rare, we were not happy and sent them back to be cooked to medium. The manager Ben brought the steaks back, said nothing and simply walked away. The steaks still were still rare, we flagged down our waitress and she sent Ben back to our table, who agreed the steaks were still rare and agreed a steakhouse should be able to cook a steak. He then walk away after we declined sending them back again to wait another 15 min. After a few minutes he comes back, ignoring me and speaking only to my companion that he would be "buying her steak tonight". and simply walked away. We had a baked potato , salad and 2 drinks, dessert for $127.00. Oh yeah, Ben only took one steak off. We waited for Beni to adjust the check and after 20 minutes our waitress finally decided to adjust the check herself. Chelsea our waitress was very good and attentive, but Ben was the worst manager I have ever seen, never once did he apologize and he actually seemed annoyed at us for insisting our food be prepared the way we ordered it. Our bill emended up being about $65.00. Oh my gosh now we were under the minimum!!!!! We paid our bill tipped Chelsea appropriately and left disappointed and likely will be going to Bern's in Tampa from now on who know how to cook a steak and the mangers are professional and appropriate. Dempsey's lost a customer because of the food and mangers response. We arrived @ 6pm and left at 8:30pm, most of that time was spent waiting for steaks to be cooked properly or waiting for the manager Ben.
